Foodtech startup Native Special and fitness platform Fitnapp have raised funds, while ZDream Ventures has acquired database provider Xeler8, and iTransparity has bought over digital marketing firm MediaForge.

Indian Angel Network backs foodtech startup Native Special

Foodtech startup, Native Special Products Ltd. has raised investment of an undisclosed amount from Indian Angel Network and Madurai based Native Angels Network.

Angel investor Nagaraja Prakasam has led this round of funding on IAN’s behalf and K.Premnath will join the board to provide strategic mentorship to the startup which retails authentic traditional snacks & sweets through their online portal across India.

The Tamil Nadu-based firm plans to use the raised funds for further upgradation of its laboratory facilities and expansion to newer markets. It also plans to introduce FSSAI certifications for vendors and setting up of an exclusive warehouse in Chennai to enable a hassle free delivery model.

The portal nativespecial.com claims to have over 42 products with 20 vendors on board and more than 7500 registered users on portal.

Fitness app Fitnapp raises funds from SD Group

Fitness startup Fitnapp has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Noida-based real estate firm SD Group.

Under the terms of the deal SD Group’s Sanjay K Baliase will join Fitnapp as a Director.

Founded in 2015, Fitnapp is a mobile marketplace that enables users to discover and purchase fitness services from the gym and fitness centers around them. It also provides platform for fitness products like supplements, equipments and gadgets.
